I got this camera for me to take hunting.Love the features so does my wife, she now has it,will have to get another for myself.I have owned about six different brands of cameras.I will never get any more unless I get one of these.It is one great camera after you learn how to use it.The only thing I don't about it is the lens cap comes off real easy, but small price to pay for great camera.
This camera brought me a years worth of grief, frustration and ruined photos of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Took it to a local camera shop which charged $60 to take it apart and clean the CCD.
I don't know if maybe mine was just a lemon but it had dust on the CCD right out of the box which ruined my pics of an air show I attended. I sent it to Vann's for service and they sent it back to me about a month later without even fixing it.
This camera was great in most of the ways the 5-star reviews here say it is. I kept it in a clean camera bag, lens down for a few months until the next summer and, sure enough, I had more dust on the CCD which ruined my vacation photos.
I'll never again do business with a dishonest outfit like Vann's. Anyway, I sent the camera to Panasonic to get fixed under the warranty and they sent it back in 3 days, perfectly clean.
Two weeks later, more CCD dust, more ruined photos. I won't buy a Panasonic camera again and I hope Vann's goes out of business.
This is a great camera. I wanted something that was easy to use and a lot of zoom. The picture quality is good too.
The camera worked very well and took great pictures but then the lens "stuck". I sent it to Panasonic and they claimed that it was damp inside. It was never dropped in water but I took pictures is some very damp conditions. They would not fix it even though it was under warranty.I would not recommend this company.
